Abstract

1) At the annual Council meeting of the Women's Liberal Federation, Lady Aberdeen presided and called the delegates to order. Mrs. Broadley Reid, Mrs. Charles (Laura Elizabeth) McLaren, and Eva McLaren all contributed to the subsequent discussion about internal matters. 2) Women's Suffrage at the Federation: Lady Carlisle, Leonora Wynford Philipps, Mrs. Bryant, and Mrs. Costelloe all contributed to a discussion about a resolution concerning women's suffrage. 3) The Evening Meeting: At the evening meeting, Mrs. Gladstone presided and read out a letter written by her husband (who was unable to attend). The Countess of Aberdeen spoke about the succesful work of the Federation. Jane Cobden remarked that "Englishwomen should now push forward to secure their enfranchisement."
