Abstract

1) Leicester: Miss Edith Gittins addressed a meeting of the Women's Liberal Association. She said that women should be more interested in the "affairs of the town and nation." Miss Hodgson spoke about the responsibilities women have as citizens. 2) Sandbach: At a bazaar promoted by the Liberal Club, Mrs. Brunner declared the bazaar open and spoke about the importance of such exhibitions as they trained "hand and eye". 3) Mile End: At a meeting of the Women's Liberal Association, Lady Sandhurst gave an address in which she urged women to stand together in order to make themselves heard in the world of politics. She also compared Liberalism and Conservatism and concluded that only the former can be a vehicle for social change.
