Abstract
Mrs French Sheldon gave an account of her travels through Africa. She visited parts of the continent where "no white woman had ever been before." Miss Isabella Bird read a paper in which she described her recent travels to the Karun River and through Bakhtiari country. She said that great parts of the country are still unexplored and that the natives were very courteous and "not wholly savage."
