Abstract

Greek Women: Miss Lathbury gave a lecture on "Greek Life" in which she mainly spoke about the situation of women in households in ancient Greece. Glasgow Women Provident League: At a meeting, a number of women gave addresses "describing the work of the League and showing those present the best means of getting for themselves, by becoming members of the League, better wages, shorter hours, healthier workrooms, and aliment when idle and in sickness."
