Abstract

1) National Union of Conservative Associations: At a conference in Birmingham, Millicent Fawcett gives an address on women's suffrage, which is reproduced. 2) Ladies' Auxiliary of the Midland Union of Conservative Associations: At a ladies' meeting, Mrs. Courtenay Lord "read a paper on interest in politics as applicable to women. This was follwed by an address on Women's Suffrage by Mrs. Fawcett." 3) Meetings - Cambridge: Emily Davies gives a "short and lucid address" at the annual general meeting of the Cambridge Association for Women's Suffrage. Her speech is briefly summarised. Manchester: A lecture by Millicent Fawcett on "Justice and Expediency" and reform work by women, given at New Islington Hall, is summarised. Coventry: Millicent Fawcett lectures on women's suffrage, following an invitation by the Conventry Habitation of the Primrose League. Her speech is paraphrased and her concluding resolution is quoted. 4) Women's Liberal Associations: List of lectures, primarily by women, after which "resolutions in favour of the suffrage for women have been carried." Speakers include Lady Sandhurst and Leonora Wynford Phillipps. 5) Debates: Mentions two female speakers, Mrs. Benjamin Clarke and Millicent Fawcett, opening discussions.
