1) Mansfield: At a meeting of the Women's Liberal Association, Miss Slack gave an address in favour of female enfranchisement. She spoke about women and labour, the principle of no taxation without representation, the fact that women would not automatically be worse wives or mothers only because they had the vote, and other aspects connected to the question of women's suffrage. 2) Nottingham: At a drawing-room meeting, Miss Wright gave an address on female enfranchisement. 3) Women's Suffrage in America: "Many prominent speakers" addressed a Suffrage Convention in Washington. 4) Meeting of the Fabian Society: Mrs. Ritchie read a paper on the position of women in politics and in society.
