Abstract

1) Ripon: Laura Ormiston Chant addressed a meeting of the Ripon Women's Liberal Association. She spoke in favour of women's suffrage. Mrs. Chant spoke about men's long struggle for parliamentary franchise and the fact that women should take this as a role model and keep fighting for their own enfranchisement. Mrs. Chant also addressed meetings in Chorley-cum-Hardy, Carlisle, and Radcliffe. 2) Barnsley: Mrs. Ormiston Chant gave an address on women's suffrage. 3) Wakefield: At a meeting of the Wakefield Women's Liberal Association, Mrs. Ormiston Chant gave an address on women's suffrage. She said that female enfranchisement is not a privilege, but a protection. 4) Haverfordwest: At a meeting of the Haverfordwest Women's Liberal Association, Mrs. Davies spoke about the success of the Association and the progress that had been made in the area of women's rights in the last years.
