Abstract

A meeting was held to welcome Lady Henry Somerset, the President of the Association, back home after her trip to the United States. Mrs. Dockwra welcomed the guests and spoke a few words about the current state of the Association. Mr.s Steward also addresses the audience and welcomed Lady Somerset back home. Several other speakers addressed the meeting. Lady Somerset herself then addressed the meeting. She thanked everyone for the warm welcome and described the work she had done in America. She also spoke in favour of women in politics.
