Abstract

Report on the "Congress of the German Frauen-blidung's [sic] and Erwerbsvereine" in Berlin, at which "Frau President Henschke read an essay on higher education [...] and Fraulein August Schmidt, of Leipzig, followed in a truly eloquent speech, in which she confined herself more especially to the present intellectual position of women." Schmidt's speech is summarised.
