At the annual meeting of the British Association in Edinburgh, Mrs. Bishop addressed the Geographical Section in the University buildings. She spoke about her travels through Tibet. Miss Collet discussed poor law guardians. Miss Rosa M. Barrett read a paper "on legislation in America and elsewhere on behalf of destitute and neglected children." Miss M. Ogilvie read a paper on landslips in the St. Cassian Strata of South Tyrol. Mrs. L. Grove read a paper on the desert of Atacama in Chili through which she had recently travelled.
