The subject was treated in a very able manner, and the lecturer was heartily thanked at the close of her address." 4) Heckington: Miss Slack gives "an excellent address." 5) Maidstone: "Mrs. Bateson delivered a stirring address. Mrs. Sinclair and various other ladies and gentlemen also spoke." 6) Manchester (North): "Miss H. E. Colenso gave a lecture on 'Zululand, past and present.'" 7) Newcastle (Central): Mrs. Lambert gives and address. 8) North Hants: Mrs. Bateson is named as one of three "chief speakers." 9) Penryn and Falmouth: "Miss Mordan gave a very interesting address on Women's Suffrage, without reference to party politics.
