Abstract

1) Ainsdale: Miss Robinson gave an address on politics and their relation to women, after which Miss Tibbatts read and excellent paper." 2) Ashton-under-Lyne: Mrs. Morgan-Browne adresses the meeting. 3) Audenshaw: "A stirring address was given amy Mrs. Morgan-Browne, of London; Miss Bertha Mason also spoke. 4) Berwickshire: "Mrs. Carlaw Martin gave addresses which were enthusiastically received. The subjects dealt with were Women's Suffrage, the Land Question, Home Rule, and Disestablishment." 5) Brampton: Mrs. Newton delivers "a capital address." 6) Bridgwater: "Mrs. E. J. Dukes presided and gave the opening address. [...] A very able and interesting address was delivered by Miss Gertrude Southall, of Birmingham, on 'The Aims and Objects of Women's Liberal Associations.'" 7) Campden: Mrs. Swann gives an 'eloquent address.' 8) Colchester: "At the inaugural meeting on Nov. 3rd its success was largely due to the spirited speech on Woman Suffrage made by Mrs. Fisher Unwin (Miss Jane Cobden). Those present listened to her address with great enthusiasm." 9) Exmouth: "Miss Latimer delivered a lecture on Women's Suffrage." 10) Gloucester: "Interesting speeches were delivered by [...] Mrs. Percival, Mrs. Hartland and Miss Embleton." 11) Louth: Miss Slack speaks. 12) Leeds: "[A] lecture was given on Nov. 7th, by Mrs. Dungey, on 'Current Politics in their Relation to Women.'" 13) Oxford: Several women dispute a resolution. 14) Wansbeck and Morpeth: "Mrs. Newton, Manchester, delivered an address on 'Woman's Influence on Coming Legislation'" at a drawing-room meeting. At a subsequent "open meeting," "Miss Meehan, Amble, read her prize essay on 'What women expect from a Liberal Government.'" 15) Walsall: "Mrs. Osler of Birmingham delivered an interesting address on women as factor inspectors and other subjects relating to women."
