Abstract

Mentions "quite a spirited speech" made by Mrs. Pochin at the launching of H.M. warship "Revenge" at Jarrow, drawing attention to how the church had silenced women in the public eye, yet how women nonetheless have played an important part in the history of maritime enterprises.
