1) Birmingham: At a local conversazione in Jenkins' Street Board School, a 'brief political address' was deliveredby Miss Southall. 2) Brighton: "A meeting was held on Jan. 2nd, under the presidency of Mrs. Bignall, in celebration of Mr. Gladstone's birthday. Mrs. Martindale read a paper by Miss Lempière, which was followed by an address on labour by Miss Hodgson." 3) East Manchester: At the annual meeting of the division in Ardwick Town Hall, Mrs. John Winbolt delivered an address on "The Red Rose and the Primrose". 4) Walsall: "On Jan. 4th a meeting was held under the presidency of Miss Holden. Mrs. O.E. Fordham delivered an address on village life." 5) Westminster: At a meeting of the devision under the presidency of Leonora Wynford Philipps, Mrs. Massingberd gave an address "which was greatly enjoyed."
