Abstract

A deputation, including several women speakers, among them Lady Aberdeen, Lady Carlisle, Miss Cons, Miss Conybeare, Mrs. H. Price Hughes, Mrs. Stansfeld, Mrs. Winbolt, Mrs. Maitland,Mrs. Charles McLaren, Mrs. Wynford Philipps, Mrs. Bamford Slack, Mrs. W.A. Thomas, Mrs. Cobden Unwin, Mrs. Ormiston Chant, Mrs. Pearsall Smith, and several others, was sent to the Home Secretary's office, to urge for the introduction of women factory inspectors.
