At a meeting of the Women's Liberal Associations in Manchester District, Mrs. Scott addressed the audience on the matter of a common proposed confession of faith, relating to the association's moral, political and social views, of which there was found to be great consesus among the attendants. It was with matters relating to female suffrage, however, that opinions were divided among the various political associations. Mrs. Bright further suggested for some words to be added to the resolution of the meeting, which would show the Union's dedication to standing up for the political rights and enfranchisement for rate-paying adult women in Britain - a proposition that was applauded by the attendants.
