Reports from the Branches: 1) Barnsley: Mrs. W.P. Byles of Bradford spoke at the annual meeting of the Women's Liberal Association and the Division Liberal Association. 2) Bradford: At a meeting of the Association, a "clever paper in advocacy of vegetarianism" was read by Miss Ward. 3) Birmingham: "At a meeting of the Women's Liberal Association Mrs. Osler pithly summed up the arguments of the Unionists against Home Rule." 4) Cardiff: "An interesting paper was read by Mrs. Williams, St. Germas, dealing with local and general movements in which the influence of women might advantageously be brought to bear." 5) Egremont: Lady Carlisle addressed a meeting of the Liberal Women's Association. 6) New Lenton: Several short speeches were given at a social tea meeting of the new Women's Liberal Association. 7) North and Mid Cumberland: Miss Lewis and Miss Embleton addressed several meetings of the North and Mid-Cumberland divisions of the Women's Liberal Association. 8) Paddington: Mrs. Charles Mallet gave a lecture on "Russia: its Peasants, Patriots, and Prisoners" at a meeting of the Association. The lecture was illustrated by "an interesting series of lantern slides, depicting scenes in the lives of the oppressed Russians." 9) Portsmouth: Mrs. Casher read "an able paper" on "The Home Rule Bill" at a tea and social meeting. 10) Walton and Everton: Mrs. C.F. Inston delivered an interesting lecture on "Belgium, the Moselle, and the Rhine" at the Everton Liberal Club, which was illustrated by lantern slides. 11) Mrs. Knee spoke at a meeting of the Association at West Bristol.
