1) At the Annual Conference of the World's Women's Temperance Union in Princes' Hall, Piccadilly, and St. James's Hall, Lady Somerset will preside. The meeting will feature several speeches and addresses by women, among them Frances Willard, Josephine Butler, Elizabeth Andrew and Dr. Kate Bushnell; the latter two will speak about temperance issues in India. 2) It is mentioned that Letitia Youmans of Toronto, President of the W.C.T.U., gave many lectures and speeches throughout her career.
