Abstract

At the annual meeting of the Ladies' National Association for the Abolition of State Regulation of Vice at St. Martin's Hall, Charing Cross, which was attended by a numerous and largely female audience, several speeches were given with Josephine Butler in the chair. Several letters of women, who regrettet that they couldn't be present - among them Millicent Fawcett - were read. Lecturers and speakers included Dr. Kate Bushnell and Mrs. Elizabeth Andrew, who spoke about the first-hand experiences they gathered on their travels to other countries.
