At the Annual Conference of the Women's Liberal Temperance Assoiation at St. Martin's Hall, Charing-cross, Mrs. Theodore Fry, who presided over the conference, spoke favourably about Mrs. Gladstone, and expressed the Association's confidence in her and her work. After that, Mrs. Armour, Miss Gilliard, and Mrs. Callender Moss spoke on matters relating to Home Rule. Finally, Lady Hater presided over a section of the congress dealing with the Parish Council Bill. showing how the passing of that bill would raise the nation in her view.
