1) Miss Johnson, a Newham student, who taught at her father's school and later at Newham is mentioned to have been "looked upon as highly as Miss Fawcett - and higher, because she is not merely a reader." Also Miss Baldwin, of Girton, is mentioned to have been instructed by women. 2) Madame de Valsayre and her backer Madame Berthier - somewhat unsuccessfully due to frequent interruptions - spoke at meetings on women's rights. 3) Mrs. A. Tregear is honoured as a famed vocalist, who has "trained her voice with much care and at some sacrifice, and now is quite the 'lion' of Colton, where she lives." 4) "Mrs. Haweis held a Suffrage reception on Monday at Queen's House, Chelsea, to meet Lady Henry Somerset and Miss Willard. Amongst the speakers were [...] Mrs. Wynford Philipps, Miss Florence Balgarnie, Mrs. Gordnon, Mrs. Charles Mallet, Mrs. Bamford Slack, and Mrs. H.E. May."
