Abstract
Mrs. Cummings delivered an interesting paper on the women's literary movement in California at a congress held in "the Woman's Building." Her lecture was interspersed with excerpts from the works of Californian women, among them a piece entitled "When I am Dead" by the first professional female journalist, who went by the pen name Topsy-Turvy.
