Abstract

1) Fräulein Schirmacher from Danzig travelled to attend the Congress of Women. At the Congress of Education she read a paper on why, in her opinion, German universities were the last to admit women to their courses. Parts of her paper are quoted. 2) Mrs. Wesley Smith also delivered a lecture at the Congress entitled "Symmetircal Womanhood," urging women to develop skills and interests in various departments of life. 3) "At the Manual and Art Education Congress, Mrs. Mary Dana Hicks, of Boston, gave an address on 'Colour and Child Vision,' illustrating it by a number of charts" showcasing the results of a number of experiments she conducted with children.
