Abstract

1) Notes on the Appeal - Meetings: Miss Mordan speaks on "the objects and methods of work of the Appeal [for women's suffrage] Committee" at a drawing-room meeting and a public meeting. "During the week of the British Association, the Nottingham Women's Suffrage Committee gave an 'At Home' in the Central Hall," at which two women give addresses. "At Roscrea, a meeting by invitation of Miss Whyte brought together a numerous company, who seemed much interested in the address Miss F. W. Currey gave in explanation of the work for the Appeal." "Mrs. Fawcett addressed a meeting at Mansfield, [...] also a meeting at Manchester [...]. Mrs. Morgan Brown will address a series of meetings in Dorsetshire towards the end of the month, also a meeting at Burgess Hill." 2) Women's Suffrage Meeting at Bradford-on-Avon: Mrs. G. P. Fuller and Mrs. Emma Mashall give addresses on women's suffrage at an At Home convened by Mrs. Beddoe. The speeches are paraphrased, and remarks by the secretary are mentioned.
