1) The Christian Convention: In the context of the convention "for Repealing the Laws on the Regulation of Vice," drawing-room meetings for exclusively female audiences are held, and women including Laura Ormiston Chant address a public meeting. Isabella Tod, Josephine Butler, and other women speak at further meetings. 2) Protection of Young Girls: "Mrs. Temple read a paper summarizing the terrible facts concerning the corruption of children" at a meeting convened by her. The speech is summarised. 3) The Rational Dress Society: "A paper on reational dress, by Mrs. Lynch, was read by Miss Barnet," Lady Harberton is briefly quoted in paraphrase, and it is mentioned that "Mrs. Charles McLaren also spoke." 4) Miscellaneous - Louise Michel: Includes a reprinted report by Miss Lord on, among other things, a lecture by Michel during a (lecturing) visit to England.
