Abstract

"Lady Henry Somerset, who, on behalf of the National British Women's Temperance Association, addressed the Home Secretary, took the position that the cure of inebriate women needed especially the help of the hospital, and she believed that all efforts would be comparatively futile until legislation was secured to aid those who were working in this branch of Temperance Reform."
