Abstract

Report on the Glasgow Central Conference of Women Workers. Paraphrases the speeches given, inlcuding Mrs. Mirrlees opening address on female influence on male power, Miss Cheetham's paper on "Women's Settlements," and Miss Don's on "the Women's University Settlement." Makes ample commentary on the speakers' impressions on the audience and their manner of speaking. Includes brief direct quotes. Names further ladies who make briefly summarised contributions or short remarks.
