Abstract

1) The Church Congress: Report on the Exeter Church Congress, which was dubbed Women's Congress due to the "unusually large space allotted to women's meetings and women's concerns. The special women's meeting at the Bamfield Hall overflowed into the Drill Hall, with the result that the ladies had to read their papers twice, a process which proved a terrible strain on voices unaccustomed to much public speaking. Lists topics of papers and the respective speakers. 2) Women Workers' Union: Summarises or mentions addresses given by various women at a meeting of the Central Conference of Women Workers. Topics centre on settlements, workers' associations, women's work, and temperance. Louisa Stevenson, Sophia Jex Blake, and Mrs. Percy Bunting are mentioned as speakers. 3) Women's Trade Unions: At a meeting at Holborn Town Hall, several women speak, among them Clementina Black an Sarah Sheldon Amos.
