1) Miss Dismore read a paper on "The Position of Women in Social and Political Life, as it has been, as it is, and as it ought to be" to 'an exceptionally large audience.' 2) "At Kenilworth last week Miss Bradley [secretary and founder of the Women Lecturers' Association] gave an interesting and able lecture on 'The Story of the English Abbeys.'" 3) "Miss Imandt gave a bright and entertaining lecture on her experiences [on her tour around the world] in the hall of the Baldovian Industrial Schools [...]" focusing particularly on the living situation of women in the different countries. 4) Miss Bertha Mason gave a speech at the annual meeting of the Ashton Women's Liberal Association, and highlighted the aims of the association. 5) The phrenologist Miss Fowler gave a lecture on "The Women of the Twentieth Century: What They will Have to Be and Do." A lively discussion and question session, with several women speaking, followed.
