1) At the annual meeting of the Society for Promoting the Return of Women as Poor Law Guardians at Westminster Town Hall, Miss Louisa Twining said that their efforts were crowned by success, as more women were returned to those positions. Mrs. McCallum and Mrs. Arnold Toynbee moved resolutions in two able speeches. 2) Miss Croker read the annual report at the general meeting of the Royal Irish Association for Promoting the Training and Employment of Women, held in Dublin. 3) Several women addressed the twenty-first annual meeting of the Froebel Society at the College of Preceptors.
