Abstract

"Under the auspices of the B.W.T.A., a meeting [...] was held in the City Temple on Thursday last in support of the Direct Local Veto Bill. Several women spoke, among them Lady Henry Somerset, who gave an address, Mrs. Bamford Slack, and Mrs. Parker, who recited "My Kate," with much appreciation.
