Abstract

1) Sowbhagyavati Shevantibai Nikambé, an Indian lady and headmistress of a school for married girls, gave an address about her work at an 'At Home' hosted by Lady Wedderburn. 2) Miss Jane E. Harrison, a former Newham student, is mentioned as a renowned expert in Greek vases and lecturer on Greek art and Mythology both at public schools as well as the British Museum. 3) Quote from a letter to the Editor printed in a New Zealand newspaper, which expresses opposition to female public speaking. 4) The Lectures of the Women's Law Class at the University of New York are mentioned, besides the fact that some of the former students have taken up giving private lecture courses to other women. 5) Miss Enid Stacey, a 'socialist orator,' gave a lecture on "The Causes of Poverty."
