Abstract

1) At a service held at the Grosvenor Place Chapel, Jersey, Miss Agnes E. Slack lectured and preached on the words 'Ye are the salt of the earth.' "Miss Slack is eloquent, clear-voiced, and a mistress of pure, grammatical English. Her appeal to the people was most powerful [...]." She has also spoken at several B.W.T.A. meetings on the Channel islands. 2) Note saying that Mrs. Hoffman is fully booked, and not able to take on any more lecturing appointments. 3) Mrs. J.K. Barney will be coming to England for lectures; she is almost fully booked for speaking engagements except for a few dates in December. 4) At a well attended At Home, hosted by Mrs. John Wilson, Mrs. Fields "gave a most interesting and stirring address on 'Our Industrial Farm Home.'
