Quotes a report from the Western Daily Mercury about the proceedings of the recent B.W.T.A. National Council Meetings. This report said that "[a]lmost without exception, these gifted women seized the attention of their audiences, and maintained it by their graceful and natural diction and by the forceful directness of their appeals, to a degree that is often unattained by men - who, however able and cultured, are in too many cases the slaves of conventionality and tradition." Lady Henry Somerset is further mentioned as a speaker.
