Abstract

1) Marsden, Huddersfield.- At a Mothers' Meeting in the Congregational Schoolroom, chaired by Mrs. Goodall, Mrs. Emmett gave Bible readings. At a well-attended meeting in the evening, Mrs. Emmett delivered an address on temperance and the "New Woman". Entertainments, including recitations, followed. 2) Morpeth.- At a tea and concert meeting in the local Free School, given for 100 women from the working classes, Mrs. Davison gave an address urging the women to join the Association. 3) Basingstoke.- At a social gathering for the young ladies in houses of business, recitations were made and an address given.
