Abstract
"A numerously-attended meeting was held in the large theatre of the Midland Institute on May 14th, in support of the Women's Suffrage Bill. The audience consisted to a very large extent of ladies [...]." Several women, among them Miss Garland, addressed the meeting. Also the issue of women speakers was mentioned in Alderman Cook's motion.
