Abstract
"Mrs. Chant was one day lecturing on the intellectual equality of the sexes, when a man rose in the audience, and remarked that women could not be the intellectual equals of men; they had never produced a Shakespeare. Mrs. Chant shouted back at once, "Well, who did, then?"
