Abstract
"Seeing the great attention that has of late been publicly paid to our sex (that is, the 'weaker' or gentler sex), it appears to me that it were full time that we reciprocated the kindness. We have had many gentlemen lecturing us about female education and the duties of wives, mothers, and daughters: why should we not get up courses of lectures in turn, on the education of males, and the duties of husbands, fathers, and sons."
