1) At "Annual Meeting of the Bristol and West of England Society [...] Miss Blackburn read the report [...] and Mrs. Marshall, Mrs. Ashworth Hallett, and Dr. Beddoe were among the speakers." 2) Mentions several lectures by Miss Wilkinson, who for the majority of them "has been accompanied by Mrs. Edwin Ransom." 3) "Miss Tod lectured in the Killinchy Woods Schoolroom on the Public Rights and Duties of Women." Mentions two further lectures by her. 4) Millicent Fawcett, Caroline Biggs, and Jeanette Wilkinson speak at a meeting. 5) Distress Among Working Women and the Sweating System: At a meeting of the National Labour Protection Union, the spokeswoman for "unemployed sewing machinists and others" addresses the executive committee. Her speech is reproduced in paraphrase. 6) At "a meeting of the women employed in the Army Clothing Factory," held in protest against wage cuts, Miss Simcox reads a letter of apology and Mrs. Dawson "complained of the harsh treatment" of the petitioners. 7) Society for Promoting the Election of Women as Poor Law Guardians - Croydon: At a meeting of the Society, Laura Ormiston Chant gives "a pathetic address," and two other women move resolutions. Highbury: Ormiston Chant speaks on "Poor-Law and Poor Women," and "Miss Varley [...] answered many questions on the work that she and other lady guardians had done." 8) Marriage Law Reform: At a "conference of ladies" on the Deceased Wife's Sister Bill, Agnes Maitland chairs, and several women move a resolution. 9) Nurses for the Poor: Baroness Burdett-Coutts presides over the annual meeting of the North London Nursing Association for the Poor. Proposing a motion, the baroness makes remarks which are briefly reproduced. 10) Cookery v. Politics: "At a recent meeting of the Balloon Society, Miss Agnes Kelman gave a lecture on 'Thrift and the Unemployed.[']" Her comment that "ladies had best let politics alone" is reported on, and corrected by the paper.
