1) Women in Political Life - The Primrose League: Reproduces a brief speech by the Duchess of Marlborough in support of the League's social work. Hastings: "At a great demonstration in the Royal Concert Hall on the 25th, a speech was delivered by Mrs. Lucas Shadwell." 2) At "a numerously attended meeting [...] to inaugurate the estabilshment of the Ladies' Liberal Association of Kensington," Elizabeth Garrett Anderson chairs and "in an admirably comprehensive speech defined liberalism." Mrs. (Sophie) Bryant. D. Sc., and Jeanette Wilkinson speak as well. 3) "Miss Wilkinson lectured on 'Politics, as they affect wage earning women.'" 4) "Miss Stacpoole leactured on 'Law making,' in the Mall Hall." 5) "The Chelsea Liberal Association is holding a series of meetings for ladies only. One [...] was addressed by Miss Eliza Orme, on 'How women can best assist the liberal cause.'" 6) National Political Union: At a meeting on Home Rule, several prominent speakers inlcuding Dr. Sophia Bryant , Isabella Tod, and Millicent Fawcett, participate in a discussion. 7) Women's Suffrage: Isabella Tod, Florence Davenport Hill, and Caroline Biggs address a drawing-room meeting. Eliza Orme and Biggs also speak at a second meeting. 8) Women Poor Law Guardians - Annual Meeting of Society for Promoting Return of Women Guardians: Two women read reports, and Florence Fenwick Miller speaks at the meeting on the positive influence of women on school board work. Her remarks, as well as those by three other women, including Laura Ormiston Chant, are reproduced in paraphrase. 9) "The paper read by Miss Twining on 'Local Government and its Responsibilities' [...] was reprinted in the organ of the society." 10) British Women's Temperance Association: At the annual meeting, several women move a petition, and "Mrs. Ormiston Chant and Miss Tod also have addresses." 11) The Girl's Club Union: Maude Stanley and Millicent Fawcett speak at a conference and are briefly paraphrased. 12) Women Workers: Maye Ashton Dilke speaks on equal work opportunities for men and women at a meeting of the London Dialectical Society. 13) Friendly Societies for Women: At a special general meeting, Mrs. Johnson reads a paper on 'Benefit Societies for Women.'"
