Abstract

Biographical account of Mrs. Hilton, founder of the English crèche system. The report describes her institution for working class infants, and her untiring efforts for caring for the helpless children in the poor areas of London. Besides her many achievements, also her speeches and the papers she read to gain supporters and make others aware of the appaling condition in many working class quarters are mentioned.
