Abstract
Florence Stacpoole, Diplomée of the London Obstetrical Society and Lecturer to the National Health Society, introduces a series of lectures on health issues focusing on women during pregnancy and newly born infants. In this opening lecture she discusses the importance of pure and healthy blood for the development of a healthy infant, and how this can be obtained mainly through taking in sufficient fresh air during pregnancy.
