1) Women in Public Life - Address by the Duchess of Buckingham: The duchess's speech at a Primrose League meeting is reproduced in paraphrase. 2) The Countess of Aberdeen and Irish Industry: At a "meeting of the Irish League", Miss Gould speaks about establishing "knitting manufactories [...] on the property of her late father." Miss Crosbie reads an address presented to the Countess of Aberdeen. The address is included and the countess's reply quoted. 3) Memorial to Professor Fawcett: Lady Goldsmid reads a paper on the occasion of the unveiling of the memorial. The paper on Fawcett's achievements is reproduced. Lady John Manners's remarks are also inlcuded. 4) Mrs. Meredith's Missionary Institute and Medical Mission: At the Institution's annual meeting, Mrs. Meredith speaks on its workings. Miss Scott "gave a brief account of her station" in India. 5) Women's Unions: "Mrs. Paterson read a statement of the work done" by the Women's Protective and Provident league at a conference. 6) The Church of England Temperance Society: At a meeting of the Society, Kathleen Townend "delivered an address upon the question of funds," Lady Frederick Cavendish "read a paper on the duty among all classes to help each other," and Mrs. Temple speaks in support of Townend's appeal to "reclaim drunken women." All speeches are briefly paraphrased. 7) Miscellaneous - Mission Work at Cape Town: "Mrs. Osborne gave an address on the religious needs in South Africa." St. James's Dwellings: On the occasion of laying a foundation stone for the dwellings, Maude Stanley gives a speech, which is briefly reproduced.
