1) Women in Political Life - Women's Liberal Association, Southport: At the society's inaugural meeting of "between 300 and 400 ladies," "Miss Kate Ryley was the first speaker." Her and Miss H. Cheetham's addresses on women's political education are paraphrased. Nantwich: Mrs. Bristowe presides at a meeting of the Crewe Division Women's Liberal Association, and Florence Balgarnie speaks on "Women's Duties as Citizens." "Miss Jackson then gave an account of the work they had already done." 2) Women's Suffrage - Annual Meeting of the Edinburgh Society: Millicent Fawcett speaks on female suffrage. Her address is reproduced at length. Laura Ormiston Chant speaks at a drawing-room meeting. Some other female speakers are briefly mentioned. England: Lists several meetings, one of which is addressed by Florence Balgarnie. 3) The Return of Women as Guardians: At a meeting of the Brighton and Hove Society, Mrs. Haycraft "in an excellent speech" supports a resolution in support of women being allowed to practice male-coded professions. 4) Miscellaneous - Vigilance Association: "At the annual meeting of this society [...] Mrs. Ormiston Chant presented the report of the Rescue and Preventive Committee, and Miss Lidgett the Foreign Traffic Report." 5) Temperance: "Miss Tod gave an admirable address at the annual meeting of the Newry Total Abstinence Society. She gave sound practical advice on the way their objects might be furthered."
