Abstract

At a meeting of the Women's Progressive Society, Mrs. Massingberd gave a speech on the Bill for Women's Suffrage. She said women must develop a "unity of aim and effort" in order to reach their goals. Another speech was delivered by a woman whose name is not given in the article; the title of the speech was "Women as Reformers", but the author of the article heavily criticises the speaker because she denounces her own sex by stating that there are many "backward or frivolous" women who are unable to contribute to society in any meaningful way.
