Abstract

Fictional piece involving a Bloomer Lecture held at the Soho-Theatre, in the course of which several women are meant to be speaking and addressing the audience. The meeting, however, is interrupted by a mob verbally ridiculing the women. In her effort to leave the theatre and escape the ridicule, one woman, the "Ex-Unprotected," accidentally stumbles upon the theatre stage, where she is detected by her shocked husband, who was sitting in the audience.
