Abstract
Short presentation of the National Home Reading Union and its aims and goals of fostering a taste for "recreative and instructive reading among all classes," as well as the organisation of lecture courses. "Among the lady Vice-presidents of the Union are the Countess of Aberdeen, Mrs. Benson, Miss Buss, Miss Clough, Mrs. Fawcett, Miss Helen Gladstone, and Miss Wordsworth."
