Gougar, who combines what some people wrongly imagine the two imcompatible talents of excellent housekeeping and vigorous platform oratory, has recently addressed fifty thousand people on Women's Suffrage and Temperance during two weeks." 3) "The Mayoress of Birmingham will preside at a Conference to be held in that city under the auspices of the National Temperance League, when the subject for discussion will be 'Woman's Work for Temperance.'" 4) "Miss Amelia B. Edwards will give sixty lectures during her American tour. She had applications for more than three hundred."
