Anthony was speaking, last week, at the sixth Annual Meeting of the Kansas Equal Suffrage Association." 3) "Mrs. Daniel Jones, of Agra, and Miss Dawson, of Madras, will speak at the Zenana Meeting [...] in connection with the Autumnal Missionary Services of the Baptist Missionary Society." 4) "Miss Kate L. Pier [...] recently argued a case before the Supreme Court of Wisconsin." 5) "Lady Sandhurst addressed a large meeting at Peterborough on behalf of the successful candidate." 6) "Mrs. Henry Kingsley and Mrs. Laffan read their papers themselves at the Church Congress last week. This is a new departure. One of the clerical secretaries has generally read the papers contributed by ladies."
