Abstract

1) "Mrs. Bateson, who has just returned from Ireland, spoke at an enthusiastic public meeting held at Surton Town Hall, Cambridge." 2) "Lady Wilde is a brilliant talker and a woman of varied and great accomplishments." 3) "Mrs. Frank Smith, Mrs. Danes and Miss Dawson addressed a meeting at Birmingham last week in connection with the Baptist Union gathering." 4) "Miss Mansfield (Lady Sandhurst's daughter) accompanied her Ladyship to North Bucks and was present at a meeting of working men addressed by Lady Sandhurst at Wolverton." 5) "Mrs. Dawson Burns read a Paper at the opening meeting of the Baptist Union, in Birmingham [...]. Miss Marianne Farningham also spoke."
